ARM CHAIR CRITIC

As an armchair critic I can view the world through the eyes of the media, television is the one to shout at, newspaper one to scoff at, radio one to talk back and sing to and magazines to relax with. Saying all that, do all speak with forked tongue? Are they filled with false information, how the celebs live their lives, what we need in terms of material possession, how we should be leading our lives, bringing up children, eating, drinking and exercise. Are we losing the art of thinking for ourselves? Who is behind all this propaganda? Is it because we have allowed ourselves to only see the world through the eyes of others?
When we see through the eyes of others then we are not seeing at all are we. Information is second hand and distorted, my gran used to say ' only believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear'. It might be a message which indicates how not to trust but regards the media it is probably good advice.
